DAY 1
Really? It took me this long to get going? I don't know why, but I just couldn't bring myself to even insert one of the DVDs and look at it, and the whole dietary change intimidates the hell out of me. But today, I decided enough was enough, and started the program.
I chose the 1-hour stretching program to begin. I'm a complete newb to physical fitness, and I figured this would be a good way to start. And, man, was it it rough on me. I was a bit shocked at just how much of the stretches I COULD NOT DO. Truthfully, there were only a couple of them that gave me a hard enough time that I could not do them. Hopefully, that will change as I go along.
When I finished the DVD, I felt like my limbs were made of Jell-O, and I was slightly nauseous. Now, as I type this, I'm feeling pretty good.
Training for the Tights

Welcome to my new blog. This is intended to be a daily record of my attempt at transforming myself into a healthier, happier person with a "super-hero" body to match. Big goals, but I've seen plenty of success stories, and have friends and personal acquaintances that have done or are doing it themselves (shout-out to my good friend, Jay).
My reasons for this are purely personal (and some are downright frivolous) but they're my goals, nonetheless. I'm done with getting bigger and bigger, done with the diabetes and my constantly deteriorating health. It's time to get healthy and fit.
I've started by making the decision to train with the P90X program. I've ordered it, it's in-transit, and I should get it within this week. I already know that it's going to be a major system-shock, and that I'm going to have to change my eating habits. But I know I can do this.
It's on!
